About Terps Esports

Mission

Terps Esports serves as the home of premier team esports and gaming on the University of Maryland, College Park campus. We are a part of the BIG Esports Conference (BEC). We serve both our students and surrounding community by providing avenues to compete at various skill levels, developing specialized skills to utilize in and out of esports, and find a sense of community through one of the world's prolific recreational hobbies.

Vision

In a space of selectively niche collegiate programs, Terps Esports aims to be the most innovative, all-encompassing collegiate esports program in the country. We hope to set the bar for what the future of D1 and Big 10 esports becomes. 

We actively participate in competitive intercollegiate gaming, campus social events, academic courses, middle school outreach, fairs, LAN's and facility enhancement projects on behalf of the collegiate gaming community.

Goals

We will shine a positive light on our BIG10 campus. Our program will foster competitive success, new coalitions, sponsorships, career pipelines, diverse programming, academic support, community outreach and student engagement.
